“And hoping is not dreaming. It is not spinning an illusion of fantasy to protect us from out
boredom or our pain. It means a
confident alert expectation that God will do what he said he will
do. It is imagination put in the
harness of faith. It is a willingness
to let him do it his way and in his time. It is the opposite of making plans that we
demand that God put into effect, telling him both how and when to do it. . . ‘I
wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the
LORD more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.’”
(Psalm 130:5-6)
Eugene
H. Peterson
Wait. Who
would have thought such a small word could cause so much agony? It is a choice to wait; a constant death to
ones self in order to really live. For
you I wait in expectation all day long.

“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, lean NOT
on your own understandings, in ALL your ways acknowledge him and HE
WILL make your paths straight.”
It’s not about me. This
Christian walk was never created to revolve around me, what I want, or what I
think would be the easiest on others.
We are COMMANDED to trust in the Lord in ALL areas of our life; that is
the Christian walk! We walk by faith
and not by sight. While we might not
see Gods greater plan, while it might not make sense to do ALL he says, he is
worth it and will never let me down.
Lord, amidst life, I will choose to trust you with every
area of my life. If there is anything
that is not excellent or worthy of praise, may I take no part in it. I am called to be an alien and stranger to
this world- in part as a testimony of who you are. Why would I ever want to compromise the very thing that means the
most to me?
My blessed savior, I surrender all. | | |
| What amazing grace is this; that I could be known in and throughout yet be loved- neverending
Thank you for your grace and your favor, which you so graciously lavish on your children. Love you: )

| "O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall
I come and appear before God? This is deep calling unto deep."
I find myself wanting so painfully much of the one I desire- more than
anything else. Why is it then, that anything else gets in the
way? No, may it not be so.
I will chose to recieve all of the self- control that you offer and
plead for your Holy Spirit to act with strength on my behalf.
"To have found God and still to pursue Him is the soul's paradox of love."
